ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Biography
David was fortunate enough to receive a first class education, attending Manchester Grammar School and graduating with honours from Cambridge University.
The Author had a number of interesting careers. The first position he held was when working in the overseas department of an insurance company in London. Later he retrained for an illustrious career in IT, and has been involved in conservation work . He has also taught abroad, among which was a teaching post in France, and fell promptly in love with the country and its people.

Nowadays the Author devotes himself to two equally rewarding and equally wonderful activities —
- private tuition of foreign languages and English
- fiction writing
David is a frequent traveller, loves music, loves the outdoors, and is a very active individual.
He recently moved out of the UK, and is still not sure which country he’ll end up living in, or shall finally settle down in. He feels that, like some of his colorful and complex characters, he continues to search for greater freedom.
Now, for the first time in his life, David feels as if his chosen twin occupations have moved up to become a part of his true identity. In his previous careers he never felt that connection and emotional stimuli. Now he is happy to introduce himself as a teacher, and writer.
He considers himself, in the main, a serious writer, and doesn’t generally write contemporary popular fiction. The writers to whom he normally looks up to are the likes of – D H Lawrence, Laurie Lee, Milan Kundera. So it is quite obvious that David is another one of our most talented writers, and one of depth and substance.
He aims to write each novel he creates into an entirely different genre/category, a testament to his colorful and restless character and personality. Definitely boredom will never get the better of David as his flow of creativity drives him onward. Several other works are already written, in part or in full. He aims to explore human psychology and the opportunities that afford him to delve into those areas of human nature are available to him through his many encounters with people of all backgrounds, creeds, and cultures. His research for his books is thorough and writes about what he knows, or has experienced over time in his life and mingling with individuals of varied social backgrounds. He often places his principal characters in a dilemma. This gives him cart blanche to chart their mental and emotional journey, wherever this may take his readership.
It’s important to the Author to see his works published as this gives him the emotional reward and satisfaction that he has aimed and achieved all he has set out to do; to win over that very important readership audience and fan base following, and to be able to share his enriched imagination with his fans. A way to offer the best of himself in order to entertain to the best of his ability. That is what drives David on and continues to present challenging ideas and new plot lines, that will have the capacity to capture and enthrall his audiences with impressive and great literary adventures.
