Former Command Sergeant Major Bob Dean has spent more than 40 years researching UFO phenomena from his early days of discovery in the U. S. Army. Convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt as to their presence, his work went deeper as he began examining the profound implications of the presence of other intelligent life forms here on Earth. Propelled upon a quest to share his discovery of a highly classified document he came upon during his military career, he has continued his agenda to inform the public about extraterrestrial life and our government’s connection. One of the few holders of first-hand knowledge about government involvement with alien life, Mr. Dean recounts the contents of the 1964 report called, An Assessment, the NATO military study that acknowledged and analyzed the implications of the alien presence here on Earth.
Working with Mr. Bigelow’s Las Vegas-based company, the program produced documents that describe sightings of aircraft that seemed to move at very high velocities with no visible signs of propulsion, or that hovered with no apparent means of lift.
Officials with the program have also studied videos of encounters between unknown objects and American military aircraft — including one released in August of a whitish oval object, about the size of a commercial plane, chased by two Navy F/A-18F fighter jets from the aircraft carrier Nimitz off the coast of San Diego in 2004.
Mr. Reid, who retired from Congress this year, said he was proud of the program. “I’m not embarrassed or ashamed or sorry I got this thing going,” Mr. Reid said in a recent interview in Nevada. “I think it’s one of the good things I did in my congressional service. I’ve done something that no one has done before.”

Two other former senators and top members of a defense spending subcommittee — Ted Stevens, an Alaska Republican, and Daniel K. Inouye, a Hawaii Democrat — also supported the program. Mr. Stevens died in 2010, and Mr. Inouye in 2012.
While not addressing the merits of the program, Sara Seager, an astrophysicist at M.I.T., cautioned that not knowing the origin of an object does not mean that it is from another planet or galaxy. “When people claim to observe truly unusual phenomena, sometimes it’s worth investigating seriously,” she said. James E. Oberg, a former NASA space shuttle engineer and the author of 10 books on spaceflight who often debunks U.F.O. sightings, was also doubtful. “There are plenty of prosaic events and human perceptual traits that can account for these stories,” Mr. Oberg said. “Lots of people are active in the air and don’t want others to know about it. They are happy to lurk unrecognized in the noise, or even to stir it up as camouflage.”
Still, Mr. Oberg said he welcomed research. “There could well be a pearl there,” he said.
In response to questions from The Times, Pentagon officials this month acknowledged the existence of the program, which began as part of the Defense Intelligence Agency. Officials insisted that the effort had ended after five years, in 2012.
“It was determined that there were other, higher priority issues that merited funding, and it was in the best interest of the DoD to make a change,” a Pentagon spokesman, Thomas Crosson, said in an email, referring to the Department of Defense.
But Mr. Elizondo said the only thing that had ended was the effort’s government funding, which dried up in 2012. From then on, Mr. Elizondo said in an interview, he worked with officials from the Navy and the C.I.A. He continued to work out of his Pentagon office until this past October, when he resigned to protest what he characterized as excessive secrecy and internal opposition.

“Why aren’t we spending more time and effort on this issue?” Mr. Elizondo wrote in a resignation letter to Defense Secretary Jim Mattis.
Mr. Elizondo said that the effort continued and that he had a successor, whom he declined to name.
U.F.O.s have been repeatedly investigated over the decades in the United States, including by the American military. In 1947, the Air Force began a series of studies that investigated more than 12,000 claimed U.F.O. sightings before it was officially ended in 1969. The project, which included a study code-named Project Blue Book, started in 1952, concluded that most sightings involved stars, clouds, conventional aircraft or spy planes, although 701 remained unexplained.
Robert C. Seamans Jr., the secretary of the Air Force at the time, said in a memorandum announcing the end of Project Blue Book that it “no longer can be justified either on the ground of national security or in the interest of science.”
Mr. Reid said his interest in U.F.O.s came from Mr. Bigelow. In 2007, Mr. Reid said in the interview, Mr. Bigelow told him that an official with the Defense Intelligence Agency had approached him wanting to visit Mr. Bigelow’s ranch in Utah, where he conducted research.
Mr. Reid said he met with agency officials shortly after his meeting with Mr. Bigelow and learned that they wanted to start a research program on U.F.O.s. Mr. Reid then summoned Mr. Stevens and Mr. Inouye to a secure room in the Capit

to develop ways and means to venture into the infinite Universe beyond our own
galaxy’s borders, seems plausible and within reach. However, the question
which remains is – how long will it be before we are ready to journey beyond
the ‘habitable zone, otherwise also referred to as the ‘Goldilocks’ zone?
The answer to that question is still not fully available and can only
be provided as and when these Secret Space program advancements are achieved
to enable and sustain this dream to become the reality. Perhaps we
already have the technology, but the problem is our human anatomy and whether
our physiological makeup is capable of sustaining advanced space travel for
very lengthy periods of time under the most unearthly and gruelling conditions

Hello Friends
Although I profess to be a huge fan of Space Exploration and which excites me beyond measure, I do always remind myself of the following ‘conscious driven’ questions:-
Is the expansive expense allocated toward Space Exploration Technology Development in search of other habitable planets and intelligent lifeforms justified? Taking into consideration the enormous needs that fail to be met to ensure the sustainability of Plant Earth and all the diverse and amazing lifeforms that it inhabits?
Are we missing important lessons that some quests cannot be pushed onto the backburner to justify our pursuit of making new discoveries in the wider Universe our prime target, and keeping our blinkers well strapped on. Pursuits, however noble and important to our intellectual development…and much more, but which may not serve the immediate needs for the next 4 or 5 generations still up ahead, ought we not to weigh over the sacrifice and cost this may tally lateron on soon to be future generations?
Ought there not be a more acceptable and workdable balance (which means leaving greed behind us), in order to ensure the endurance race we are living right here on earth is not in vain, if not already lost, if we continue to persist in turning our backs on the reality of this predicament we are actually facing today?
What’s more, going on the premise in the event that life on earth could be snuffed out by one almighty Nuclear Incident that could trigger a global winter to the point of no return, does this justify the hefty budget that is apportioned on Space Programs while entire nations are suffering from drought for decades, and the changes in our climate are playing havoc with our economy and not least the immense loss of life, habitat, fauna and flora to the point where many of our animal species are facing extinction?
Could our ignorance indeed become the sombre prospect of seeing our beautiful Planet Earth transformed into another Mars Like planet, and see it turn into a futile mirage hanging in outer space reduced to another lifeless rubble? It can take merely a couple more decades where Earth’s conditions could become so beyond repair that, ultimately, we will run out of financial resources to see any form of reconstitutive activity going on, on Mars, to turn that planet into a habitable abodes. How many decades are we facing before we could see this become a reality? How many humans would be so privileged to be able to migrate to Mars if Earth has become a wilted environment? We can’t all pack into a Boing 707 to get us there enmasses! Not least to speak of the manifold diseases that will befall upon mankind due to lack of urgent medical resources and is invariably part and parcel of poverty and starvation?
In short and to sum it up! Has the onset of the Coronavirus this time around given us any food for thought? Are we learning any vital lessons?

CERN researchers confirm existence of the Force

Researchers at the Large Hadron Collider just recently started testing the accelerator for running at the higher energy of 13 TeV, and already they have found new insights into the fundamental structure of the universe. Though four fundamental forces – the strong force, the weak force, the electromagnetic force and gravity – have been well documented and confirmed in experiments over the years, CERN announced today the first unequivocal evidence for the Force. “Very impressive, this result is,” said a diminutive green spokesperson for the laboratory.
“The Force is what gives a particle physicist his powers,” said CERN theorist Ben Kenobi of the University of Mos Eisley, Tatooine. “It’s an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us; and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together.”
Though researchers are as yet unsure what exactly causes the Force, students and professors at the laboratory have already started to harness its power. Practical applications so far include long-distance communication, influencing minds, and lifting heavy things out of swamps.
Kenobi says he first started teaching the ways of the Force to a young lady who was having trouble revising for her particle-physics exams. “She said that I was her only hope,” says Kenobi. “So I just kinda took it from there. I designed an experiment to detect the Force, and passed on my knowledge.”
Kenobi’s seminal paper “May the Force be with EU” – a strong argument that his experiment should be built in Europe – persuaded the CERN Council to finance the installation of dozens of new R2 units for the CERN data centre*. These plucky little droids are helping physicists to cope with the flood of data from the laboratory’s latest experiment, the Thermodynamic Injection Energy (TIE) detector, recently installed at the LHC.
“We’re very pleased with this new addition to CERN’s accelerator complex,” said data analyst Luke Daniels of human-cyborg relations. “The TIE detector has provided us with plenty of action, and what’s more it makes a really cool sound when the beams shoot out of it.”
But the research community is divided over the discovery. Dark-matter researcher Dave Vader was unimpressed, breathing heavily in disgust throughout the press conference announcing the results, and dismissing the cosmological implications of the Force with the quip “Asteroids do not concern me”.
Rumours are growing that this rogue researcher hopes to delve into the Dark Side of the Standard Model, and could even build his own research station some day. With the academic community split, many are tempted by Vader’s invitations to study the Dark Side, especially researchers working with red lasers, and anyone really with an evil streak who looks good in dark robes.
“We hope to continue to study the Force, and perhaps use it to open doors with our minds and fly around and stuff,” said TIE experimentalist Fan Buoi. “Right now, to be honest, I don’t really care how it works. The theory department have some crackpot idea about life forms called midi-chlorians, but frankly I think that poorly thought out explanations like that just detract from how cool the Force really is.”
With the research ongoing, many at CERN are already predicting that the Force will awaken later this year.*Sources close to the Data Centre later revealed that these were not the droids they were looking for. April Fools’ Day
