About Us – (At the risk of sounding repetitive, below please find a little more information about us)
My Personal interests are wide and varied, but I really just wish to talk about what I do for a living, and above all which also serves as a morale booster for well-being, personal pleasure and intellectual satisfaction. So for us, it is really all about what we and our Team are able to collectively can do for others. I have received numerous wonderful and heartwarming messages from many here on Facebook and Linkedin, Twitter, Tumblr, Pininterest, Slated.com and Stage 32, as well as IMDb.com on my re-emergency and after a fairly long personal absence due to illness in the family, and I was surprised to discover how much Facebook during this absence has improved from its former format since its original presentation in 2013.
WHO DO WE CATER TO AND FOR?
We operate as a Literary and Film Agency under the name of Gilbert Literary Agency (an offshoot division of Hawkspurr Productions which was founded in 1990), resided in Otago, New Zealand. Our Editorial Team are keen to promote literary works created by talented writers to receptive Publishers. A large proportion of our clientele consists of our American cousins, Latin America, Canadian, Europe, Great Britain and Ireland, Scotland, European Middle Eastern quarters, Asia Pacific Rim neighbors, as well as Australian and New Zealand authors, in that order, and which may appear as a bit of an irony considering our location.
SOCIAL NETWORKING
We are constantly on the lookout for established as well as budding new talented writers aspiring to become first-time published authors, and I am finding the Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Stage 32 social medium platforms a useful tool in not only making friends and making our acquaintance with other business colleagues, but hopefully helping writers to achieve their dreams and goals to the best of our abilities, and be able to contribute and serve in our own way and capacity to this amazing community.
Indeed, what would we do without all our talented authors and artists involved the Literary Mediums and Film and Television media industries, who contribute their devoted creativity to a restless society. In turn, a society looking to a way out of their respective doldrums (and the best of us have them from time to time) to infusing a couple of hours of pure bliss of escapism into our busy lives in what is now a fast moving and very turbulent age. Simply to be entertained if even only for short interludes, and steal a measure of leisure time crammed into our busy weekly work schedules.
HOUR GLASS OF TIME – Our Focus on the Film Industry…
Some of the myriads of projects that have been presented to us over the decades around the world by both the Literary and the general Media and Entertainment factions, such as the Film and Television entertainment industries have offered a diverse diet of pure fantasy and decadence. Whereas some more poignant and positive projects have concealed more pressing and subtle subliminal messages, which may have jolted and pummeled our consciences into action. Enforcing us into that more difficult process of pondering and close-up self-analysis. Perhaps trying to show us the way as to how we could each of us contribute some modicum of ‘goodwill’ toward making this world a better place to live in. as we travel upon our personal journeys through it.
I deem it a privilege to be able to interact with and learn something new from all those wonderful and cool sorts on the above-mentioned forums, comprising of friends, old clients and new potential authors from so many diverse backgrounds around the world. We have currently 35 Film Projects contracted to Hollywood, UK, and Canadian Film Media Companies.
