Our Client and Author David Thulin

David - Another day in the Sun

David Thulin, to me, is representative of a kind of ‘hero’ in a sense.  A father and husband, David has had to face one of the most major trials early on in his young life, when he found himself alert and alive, but deeply entrenched and locked into what the medical profession refers to as,  the ‘locked-in syndrome’, after suffering a stroke.

I hope this work might appeal to you, and many readers around the globe, and hope you might deem this project of your curiosity.   David is a fantastic human being, who decided to ‘live’ his life to the best of his ability, rather than sit back and watch ‘his life go by’.  He is ever the optimist, he is smart and intelligent, and he is also a marketing ‘guru’ as that is what he does best.  He has an extended marketing and promotional campaign planned for all of his books.

Despite the fact that he is wheelchair bound, he is able to get around independently and even drive a motor car.  Nothing will stop David from going the hard mile and how and whatever it takes, to make a success of these booklets. We believe these will not only be read by those in wheelchairs, but by the general public also or whose loved ones are stricken with a similar misfortune, which they can overcome by reading David’s books and book similar out there.  As the tips and advise offered in the contents are a pure joy to read, and which were delivered with good humor and intelligence.  The content will serve as ‘light bulbs’ illuminations, and will have the capacity to make many laugh but more so that they may take this valuable information to heart, and hopefully all who are in a similar situation may get smarter in their approach as to how to live their lives more to the full with the information in hand.

David Thulin’s memoirs about his time recovering from a severe medical crisis during which he suffered two strokes that had initially left him with the ‘locked-in syndrome’ are somewhat chilling, but mostly eye-opening revelations and also heart warming.  “Breaking Out”  is a story of courage and bravery as this hero got on with life and made a sure recovery with all his mental faculties,  intelligence and characteristic wit intact.  The closest books to David Thulin’s stories are titles such as  “A Stroke of Insight” and “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly”.

David came to us advising that he had his ‘Breaking Out’ book edited once by an experienced editor in New York at  expense.

Breaking Out by David Thulin

I deem the Author’s “Handbook for Wheelchair Life ” one of the most eloquent, and informative pocket books written on the subject of a wheelchair life existence, not elusive also to a sufficient amount of good humor which is so typically David’s character, despite its rather serious topic content.

David envisages he will be producing two pocket sized handbooks per annum, offering a bounty of amazing advise, logistics and appealing Wheelchair psychology to make life for the victims who have ended up in a wheelchair for life, easier and much more manageable, but more importantly shall offer hope that life is still great albeit somewhat more cumbersome, as they make their transition into a new life bound to wheelchair living.

ABOUT THE BOOK – “Duty, Honor, Country: Kill, Capture, or do Nothing”

“Duty, Honor, Country: Those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you ought to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying points: to build courage when courage seems to fail; to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith; to create hope when hope becomes forlorn.”    General of the Army, Douglas MacArthur

The book “Duty, Honor, Country: Kill, Capture or do Nothing,” is the account of the most secret Special Operations unit in the United States Military. This is the story of real men who put their lives on the line every day in defense of the United States. The unit, never makes the 6 o’clock news or the newspapers, they operate and their missions are highly classified, every day they carry out missions in complete secrecy. They are only whispered about at the highest levels of the intelligence community in the United States and are never acknowledged publicly.  They were once known as the Intelligence Support Activity and have gone by many names over the course of the last thirty years. Currently this unit is designated the Army Operations Activity.

Ed Schroeder is an author of quality material.  He writes about what he knows, and still remains the basis upon which all great works are created.  To write about what the author knows/researched delivers authenticity and realism to any work, and this book is a ‘must’ read, suitable for general and discerning reading audiences.  It is for readers who appreciate military/historical genres which provides suspense, realism and which may even serve as an eyeopener about those serving men, who lay their lives on the line every day in the course of serving their country dutifully, ensuring that our home shores continue to remain a safe haven from off-shore terrorist threat so prevalent in this our 21st Century.

We urge you to purchase your copy from and all good book stores in your area.
